As a woman, you likely have a hair care routine, a skin care routine and a multitude of other routines that all fall under the main heading of beauty care routines. It's a simple fact that in this world you have to keep up your beauty care or you will lose out on jobs, dates and almost anything else that requires you to get noticed. (Not to mention that little thing called self-esteem!)
You have to develop some type of beauty care routine. It should be something that you can do everyday and that will be easy for you. If you feel your current routines are too much to handle then it may just be time to stop and revise your beauty routines.
You should start with understanding the basic care that you need - hair, skin, nails, and face. Skin and face are separate because there are many things you only do to your face that you do not need to do to your whole body. One of my favorite face creams is by Bliss. The Youth As We Know It is an amazing anti-aging cream that's great whether you're started to see lines yet or not. You'll want other moisturizing products for the rest of your body.
Speaking of different products, the next step is looking at the products you need. You should start with finding products that are made for you and your needs. You can look at beauty reviews to get a good idea of what to use. Try choosing products that serve a dual purpose. This will cut down on the number of products and the overall time it takes for your beauty care.
Once you choose your products you should naturally be able to work those products into a routine. Try to stick to minimal standards and avoid spending too much time on your beauty needs. You do not want it to be a hassle or you will not likely stick with it. Practice until you can get it down to a five to ten minute routine and really it should not take longer than that. Basic requirements for you face: You need a cleansing product. You need a moisturizer. You need an occasional facial mask. This can be done once a week and yes it takes a bit longer but you can leave it on while you read a book or soak in a hot bath.
Basic requirements for your body: An exfoliator, which can be applied in the shower or bath. A moisturizer - to save time you can simply by a product that is an exfoliator and moisturizer in one. If you have a bit of extra cash, get a water purifier to put on your shower head. They are not that expensive and you will see a huge difference in how soft your skin is. You will also find that you need to use far less product to achieve soft, glowing skin.
You also do not have to spend a fortune on beauty products. Some that you find in your local drug store are actually quite good. Stick to one product line where possible to ensure that the ingredients in one are made to go with the ingredients in another. Also make sure to apply a sunscreen or use a moisturizer with sun screen if you use any product that has "anti aging" or "retinol" on the package. Many of these products will thin out the outer layer of your skin to slough off dead cells. This is great for getting that glow but it does mean that your skin will require additional protection.
Finally remember that great skin begins from within. Eat well. Include your fruits and veggies and drink water whenever you can. Avoid fried foods and processed sugars when possible. And finally take a mutli-vitamin. You will begin to notice the difference in your skin, within a few short weeks.
